Raised among the bushlands of Warrandyte and having lived and worked in France, Jessica brings a quiet lyricism to her practice that reflects a deep appreciation for stillness. A lifelong creative, she began painting as a meditative counterpoint to her career as a French teacher. Jessica has explored classical dance, poetry and foreign languages, and brings that same spirit to her visual art which is infused with emotional nuance and atmosphere.
Jessica’s work has been exhibited nationally in both solo and group shows, with a recent solo exhibition at Wild Canary (QLD). She is a multi-year finalist in several respected prizes, including Inside This Box at The Corner Store Gallery, The Next Big Thing at The Toowoomba Gallery and The Doyles Art Award. Her work has also been shown at the Affordable Art Fair (Brisbane and Sydney), featured in Country Style magazine and selected by prominent interior design firms for commercial spaces such as Middle Park European and Elio’s Place on Flinders Lane.
Now working from her studio in Caulfield North, Jessica continues to draw inspiration from both natural and cultural landscapes.
